Pugni di Pezza is a performance conceived by Alessia Luongo, in which the language of puppetry meets experimental electronic music.
The performer animates the puppets while simultaneously weaving together and modulating sounds created on an analogue synthesizer. Gesture and sound seek one another out, provoke one another and transform through improvisation: electronic music and puppetry become a single performing body.
Through their movements and stage behaviour, the puppets guide the course of the music. Their gestures suggest its rhythm and transformations, shaping a dreamlike dramaturgy, charged with emotions and tensions.
A performative ecosystem in which sounds and puppets become a single flow.
