Dyno on the Moon is a performance conceived by Alessia Luongo, in which sound art meets object theatre.
The performer animates toy dinosaurs, transforming their calls and sounds into a lunar dramaturgy of sound and image. Through the encounter between gesture and sonic material, the objects move beyond their original function, taking on unexpected presences and meanings.
Sound opens a space in which memory and fiction intertwine, allowing fragments of childhood imagery to emerge. The theatrical action moves through these resonances, constructing provisional realities suspended between the familiar and the strange.
A performative ecosystem in which matter, sound and imagination inhabit the same lunar landscape.
DYNO ON THE MOON has been selected for international festivals, exhibitions and artistic programmes across Europe and Asia.
Its 2026 programme includes NOIS//E – Festival and Symposium at Fondazione Sozzani (Milan, Italy); the 1st GUYU ACTION International Film Festival (第一届“谷雨行动”国际影像节), in collaboration with Xiang Xishi Center for Contemporary Art and Xi'an Biennale (2026, Xi'an / 西安, China); the 12th Arte Aparte Art and Action Fair at Espacio Belleartes (Cáceres, Spain); Open Art Festival at Medina Art Gallery (Rome, Italy), curated by Constantine Anjulatos; Roma Future Week 2026 (Rome, Italy); and BABELE 2026 – 4th Edition at Spazio MUSA (Turin, Italy), curated by Lucrezia Nardi.
The project has also been selected for CICA Experimental Film and Video 2027 at CICA Museum (미술관), scheduled for April 2027 in Gimpo, South Korea.
